Senior Legal Talent Manager

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

• Oversee attorney recruitment, onboarding, integration, development, and retention for Southern California offices

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for law students and lateral associates, including interviews, offers, and candidate experience

• Design and execute local summer associate programs; coordinate assignments, evaluations, and social events

• Lead onboarding and integration initiatives for first-year and lateral associates; manage mentoring and training programs

• Conduct regular associate check-ins and partner with practice leaders to support morale, utilization, and development

• Plan and implement associate events and programming in collaboration with the Associate Committee

• Work closely with partners and Associate Review Committee to support performance evaluations and identify coaching needs

BACKGROUND PROFILE

• 7+ years in legal talent management, attorney recruiting, or related HR roles, with 3+ years in a management capacity

• Prior experience coordinating law student/lateral associate hiring, onboarding, and attorney retention strategies

• Proficient with recruiting and HR systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, discretion, and strong interpersonal judgment

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Flexible to travel as needed and work occasional evenings/weekends
