Senior Manager of Associate Development

Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Silicon Valley, CA (Hybrid)

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

• Partner with firm leadership to design and implement attorney learning, development, and retention initiatives

• Assist in overseeing staffing and workload allocation for associates in Tech and Corporate practice groups

• Oversee mid-year and year-end evaluation processes on the West Coast

• Lead onboarding, integration, and orientation programs for new associates and laterals

• Provide coaching on career planning and professional development goals

• Facilitate the mentoring program, assign mentors, and track engagement

• Leverage data analytics to report on productivity, utilization, and talent strategies

• Collaborate across departments to coordinate arrivals, departures, transfers, and training initiatives

• Supervise, mentor, and develop direct reports, setting goals and performance expectations

BACKGROUND PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or related field (JD preferred)

• 5+ years of professional development experience, ideally in a large law firm

• 3+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills

• Previous law firm practice experience in Corporate/ECVC strongly preferred

• Experience with viGlobal modules; membership in professional organizations (PDC, NALP, SHRM) a plus
