Manager, Practice Support Services

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 3x a week onsite)
Lead and manage a team of approximately 30 Practice Coordinators and Assistants (formerly Legal Secretaries) across multiple offices
Oversee staffing assignments, workload allocation, workflow efficiency, and daily administrative operations
Partner with firm leadership and HR on hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development
Drive consistency and process improvements across practice support functions, identifying and implementing best practices
Coordinate and execute office-related operational initiatives, including space planning and an upcoming office relocation
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, professionalism, and top-tier client service
Ensure administrative support functions are aligned with attorney needs and firm priorities

Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a law firm or professional services environment
Proven track record managing large administrative teams and multi-office operations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; adept at conflict resolution and leading effective team meetings
Highly organized, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating change in a fast-paced environment
