Corporate Business Development Specialist
Industry: Legal 
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: New York, Washington, D.C., Boston (Hybrid)

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

  • Support marketing and business development initiatives to enhance client engagement and practice group visibility.
  • Assist with new business proposals, pitches, client presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Maintain and track client development activities.
  • Manage and update the firm’s corporate transactions database for M&A, capital markets, finance, private equity, venture capital, and more.
  • Prepare corporate transaction reports for quarterly league table rankings.
  • Develop and maintain client and prospect mailing lists.
  • Support planning and execution of firm events, including CLE programs, seminars, and networking events.
  • Coordinate conference participation, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and writing opportunities.
  • Assist in lateral integration efforts and prepare directory submissions and award nominations.
  • Draft and proofread marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and client alerts.

BACKGROUND PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in professional services marketing, preferably in a law firm.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce, Account Engagement, and Adobe PDF is a plus.
  • Understanding of corporate transactions and business development best practices is a plus.
