THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:

  • Partner with practice group leaders and firm leadership to develop and execute marketing and business development plans for assigned practice group(s)
  • Support short- and long-term strategic sales plans and tactics that drive measurable business growth, with an emphasis on client retention, cross-selling, and new client cultivation
  • Identify practice group targets and prospects, and support programs, events, and sponsorships designed to drive revenue
  • Guide practice-specific marketing strategies and serve as liaison between the practice group and other marketing functions
  • Communicate sales strategies and tactics to attorneys, ensuring consistent implementation across all geographic regions
  • Coordinate marketing activities with the business development efforts of attorneys and marketing managers firmwide
  • Execute practice group marketing activities and build deep familiarity with the group's services, offerings, and attorneys
  • Develop marketing materials, including pitch decks, qualifications, matter and experience lists, and website content
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI responses in partnership with the firm's Pitch & Proposal team
  • Manage firm-sponsored and industry participation events, sponsorships, and client dinners
  • Support directory and awards submissions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements, webinars, blogs, and whitepapers
  • Collaborate with practice group and Communications leadership on brand campaigns and PR/media requests
  • Build and maintain proficiency in firm technologies, including CRM and experience management systems, to support client and business development efforts


BACKGROUND PROFILE:

  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing or business development-related field, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with an emphasis in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, document management systems, and firm marketing/CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, WordPress) following onboarding and training
  • Working knowledge of professional services industries and a solid understanding of the litigation practice
  • Experience with litigation research tools and databases (e.g., PACER, Lex Machina, Docket Navigator)
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical/research skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Assertive yet flexible communication style, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with intellectual curiosity and genuine enthusiasm for marketing
  • Available to work overtime as required; reliable and punctual
