Business Development Manager – Litigation & International Arbitration

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY

• Partner with senior lawyers, practice leaders, and the Assistant Director of BD for Litigation & Investigations to drive strategy for Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration practices

• Develop and monitor practice group business plans with measurable milestones tied to firmwide goals

• Support new business generation by preparing pitches, RFP responses, and targeted client materials; coordinate rehearsals and client meeting prep sessions

• Identify and pursue client development opportunities in collaboration with attorneys, Client Relationship Managers, and BD colleagues across practices

• Manage directory submissions and recommend thought-leadership and speaking opportunities

• Support practice group events, client alerts, external communications, and marketing collateral updates

• Mentor and help train junior BD Specialists in litigation-focused business development skills

BACKGROUND PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field

• 5+ years of professional services BD/marketing experience; law firm BD experience highly preferred

• Strong track record supporting litigation and/or transactional practices

• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills with demonstrated initiative and leadership ability

• Experience mentoring or training team members preferred
